Talks and Shows
Below you will find TAAS some Art Exhibitions & Artist Talks hosted and curated by The Alternative Art School
The exhibitions linked here do not represent all the shows our artists and curators are participating in, just exhibitions put on, hosted, and paid for by The Alternative Art School. We are a new school with a tiny core team and our dream is to grow our exhibition programming over time. Beyond offering our students some virtual exhibition opportunities we host, we share open call opportunities from third party organizations with our attending artists, help workshop proposals and applications, and celebrate their success beyond the school!

In this exhibition, we bring together attending artists from Carving Connections, a 6-Month Independent Study course with Amber Imrie. Thank you to our incredible collective of participating artists, Sage Lewis, Louisa Thompson, Donna Cooper, Karen Dolmanisth, Hali Linn, Kimberley White, Candice Sisemore, Patricia Palmer, Katie Delaney, Kris Blackmore, and Sophy Chang
Making Art: Making A Life of Art
The end of program showcase for Nato Thompson's Independent Study Program
Rocks, human rights journals, the home as a fulcrum to understand the globe, printing for the people, printing to print, law and activism, activism as residency, postcards for family.
What is art for? And furthermore, who is art for? In the last six months, this incredible group of artists have gathered together to consider what it means to make a life of art. We have talked about our own personal journeys.
